Was thinking about buying a gs fiberglass hood but haven't been able to find the metal for the outside of the hood?
No reproductions were ever made and the originals were made of chromed pot metal which pits easily .. especially on a flat surface like the lower portions of the slats where water tends to pool. very nice originals are hard to find .. I can only remember having one NOS one in my 30 yrs of breathing 69 stuff. To mount these as per a stock hood you also need the backing plates I think I have a set with pitting I'd willing to let go .. PM me if interested
