Anyone live in Eastern Pa. Williamsport or jersey shore

Rented a cabin to hunt Boar in November. Excited. Need some input.

4 days in the Big woods. can’t wait. waited my whole life for this vacation.

I am 20 minutes from Jersey Shore and 1/2 hour from Williamsport along I 80

Some of you guys don’t like the hunting aspect. I get it. But Black Bears are in a special movement . They are migrating from the forests into the residential areas
.Butler co. even in Pgh. yes in the city. Should be a good bonding vacation.

Ok you Guys may understand. To me That is the heartland of Pa. But this is Big Country. I’ve waited my whole life to go do this with my kids. Big deal. Big woods.

 

Pat i adore were you guys live. Different time people and place. I’m excited. 54. well I’m at my peak. Down hill from here. I know my cabin is in the center of Black Bear country. more killed per square mile than anywhere else. But Harvesting A bear or shooting a Bear is like a needle in a haystack. It’s not about the kill. It’s about teaching your kids what your Grand parents and their parents had to do to live.

Wow . What a place to raise a family. I was raised in Pgh.Pa. Wow. what a place to live. Best town in the 70’s to be a part of. It was Great.

I know it’s the Best Black Bear town . Next to British Columbia. It just blows my mind.

Black bears are regular visitors here at the house and at my camp at Field Station Pa. Lots of Wildcats too in the pole building.

Black Bears visiting Porches in Pa. Is becoming common place.

 

When i was young and got Married. Wild Turkeys were rare and not common .But in the early 90’s. Turkeys just expanded in your wildest dreams. unreal. Mother nature. The circle of life. Now it’s Black Bears turn. 10 years ago. Coyotes Boomed. (Hybrid Graywolf) . Here to stay. unreal. not leaving anytime soon. Dispite how many get harvested. The more we harvest. The more the litters become vast. Mother Nature.
It’s the Black Bears time. And there may 30,000 . in Pa. Why? conservation. What’s next. Mountain lion. Probably. Good luck. Anti hunters! If you think every hiker can kill a mountain like the Man in Colorado. Well think again. Not many a man can kill a mountain lion with his hands.

 

I live i the suburbs of Pgh. 10 miles from the Big city. Years you drive by the telephone poles. With pictures of Family pets Dogs and cats missing. Wierd. month after month. New pictures . Why are they Disappearing.
