New to Buicks? First thing to do is add a reliable oil pressure guage. Where in Seattle are you?

Hey, Just saw your posting about looking for Buick guys in Seattle.
I'm in Seattle myself. Drive a 65 Skylark as my daily driver.

I'm kind of a rookie though. The slightest problems stump me often. For instance,
My radiator blew out the other day and blasted the wires off of my distributor cap. I have the firing sequence on the engine block but don't know which order the pistons go in. Would you happen to know if #1 is on the right or left (facing the front) and do they run with #1 and #4 both in the front or like a "U" with #1 and #8 in the front.

    If not, I understand.
Anyway, glad to hear you're out here.

Make fun of the rookie why don't ya!
You'll crush my spirit and the 'Lark will end up at the dump.

I wasn't making fun of you Kevin, I was sarcastically teasing Todd for his lack of detail!

    Cool cjp69.
You can see how I might think such comments could ( and should!) be directed at me after knowing F-all about my own engine.
Thanks again everyone for the info

    over and out

    Hi guys
As I am going to pull my engine in early Aug. how would anybody like to join in molesting a virgin 70 stage one. Time for a rebuild on old blue. If you would like to help, just let me know.

    Hey Jim.
    Where are you located?
I might not know a hell of a lot but I know a few things and I can certainly be an extra set of hands where needed.
