Looking for a decent 8.5 10-bolt posi rear, somewhere between 3.23 and 3.55 gears would be nice, complete from drum to drum. Looking for something in good condition, rebuilt would be preferrable. This will be going into my 66 Skylark, as I am replacing the tired 8.2. Let me know if you have or come across something that I can use. Thanks! :Comp:
Find a rear from a 71 or 72 skylark and have a posi and gears installed. This wil probably be your most reliable and in the long run cheapest route.
I have a rear end out of a 72 buick skylark that you could put a posi in. I will be in Reno Nevada for hot August nights to if that helps. Maybe you can pick it up their. Let me know if you are interested?
