This is what i got???? "staged67gspwr, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: 1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? 2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. " Whats this about?? o No: Thanks
George, if you are trying to reply on a for sale ad, that is currently not permitted. Please read JW's announcement at the top of the parts for sale and cars for sale forums. You will need to PM or email to contact a seller.
don't say anything critical about the new rules or they will delet the post. i did,and was ask to edit my post and didn't. it is now completely gone. so much for freedom of speech.
Sometimes I get that message as well and on normal posts in the bench. I guess it's just an random error.
65gs76limited, There is a poll posted on the board with 2 options that members can vote on regarding how the for sale forums are run here. Please have a look at it in The Bench. In that thread you can feel free to post your view if you so choose, and please cast a vote. There was no need for the new thread you started. To my knowledge, no moderator asked you to edit your thread. However, it was reported to the moderators, and removed, since there is already a thread pertaining to this subject. dave, i was asked by flynbuickto edit my post, when i didn't edit it to his liking it was removed. it was just my opinion and i thought we were entitled to that.
Sure, your entitled to an opinion, and to state that opinion.. I did see your post, thought it was silly, think I muttered "pay attention" under my breath, since there are 2 threads, with over 100 posts talking about the issue right now. We are voting on a possible change in policy. Been the hot topic on the board for days now. Some may interpret your post as just whining, or trying to stir up some stuff, and may have asked a mod to review it, and possibly remove the posts. If one of my mods decided to do that, I stand behind their action. A lot of the members here (and not just the mods) are very protective of this site. I thank them for that. JW
i wasn't whining or trying to stir anything up! i didn't see the thread and wanted to state my opinion. as far as your poll goes. i'll stop there for fear of being booted off the site.
And I didn't say you were trying to do that.. But that's the problem with this type of media.. we can't tell what your thinking. I assumed you had not seen the post with the info in it, which lead me to the "pay attention" thought.. Having less that 200 posts doesn't help either.. nobody really knows who you are.. Your in no danger of being booted off the site... not sure why you would think that.. with over 7000 registrations, I have only had to remove about half a dozen folks.. and they had it coming. That's prolly less than any other board you will find, with a similar number of registrations. JW
Is it just me? It shows up like this with these topics (that I've found so far at least): http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=7054 http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=7053 http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=7052
I see. At least you guys know they need to be fixed now. Maybe that's the reason behind these "this site is full of dirty talk" threads, no one can see the "Conduct Guidelines!" post. p
The "Conduct" guidelines are outlined when you register. But yeah, I know what you mean. When we get everything straightened out, we should probably repost the guidelines for using the forum.
flynbuick is not a moderator, but IS a well-known, well-respected, and highly knowledgeable member of the board. I interpreted his comment as a suggestion to you regarding editing it, not as a direct request. But, I can see how it could be interpreted differently. Your thread was not removed because you did or did not edit it, but only because it was a re-hash of an existing, current thread, that contains the poll.
I think too many guys register without reading thru the policies that are spelled out during the reg process. It ain't like reading a Microsoft licensing agreement... ou: Or they just don't take the policies seriously.
