I see there are people that will put a modern quartz clock mechanism in a classic car clock. Has anybody had this done and can anyone recommend a shop? - Bill

Best I found these people in VA are the best I could find they said they would garanty the clock for life and it was only 80.00 for them to convert it for me here is there address and link http://www.autoinstruments.com they where supper nice people and they also do dash chrome work
Thats the one , the kit in the red and black box. Works perfect. The second hand does not "click" it sweeps smooth.
