I think that those are Speed Pro forged pistons. Hopefully Sean will chime in, He would have a better idea.

From a quick search, it sounds like the L designates them as forged.

My forged TRW/Speed Pro's are stamped 2232P. The valve notches were flycut separately.

I checked my spare emgine it has the same part number as yours and they are forged for sure. So you can safely list them for sale as forged. Good pistons for a budget performance build. They lived fine at about 600 crank Hp fir a few years.

I look forward to your turbo 350 build!

that’s the early part number, his must be the later. Both are high compression low dish.

And in my searching, they were shown to be legal for 68-74 Buick 350's in NHRA class racing.

Yes most of the 11 second stocker NHRA guys are running those pistons.

I used the piston’s that I had gotten from KB. Was back in the day.
Think around’82ish. Maybe earlier. They were forged. Built the sbb 350 engine for use with Nitrous Oxide when just a kid. Old school water injection. It lived a long time. Matter of fact, after a lot of Nitrous use sold the engine and lived for ever as far as I know. Bought the home made Nitrous kit that the owner of a speed shop was making and selling. Hi-Rev speed shop chain. Remember them? Who knows what hp it added. Used an aluminum spacer with two brass tubes running through the middle of it, with holes machined in it. Crude but worked extremely well! Was the fastest car in my town. Lol. The good old days!

Super cool! The 350 loves nitrous and boost!

To say the least! Would break the big street tires loose up against the rev limiter at almost any speed.
