Anyone else get sick at the Nats? I have not been able to hold down any food since I returned from Bowling Green. Hopefully I was just an isolated case. Dave
Dave,Hope you are feeling better soon,I talked to Phil and Pat Dayen who said they had the same situation as did a few others. It sounds like you all had one thing in common which was some bottled water purchased down there.Pat seems to be doing better.
Hope your feeling better by now! No one got sick this time, but several years ago 4 of us went to Toots and had the hot wings. :af: Two got sick, one out the top and the other out the bottom! :moonu: I of course had no problem. Stomach like a rock back then.
I sure hope it wasn't bottled spring water. You know what salmon do in that water? Spawn..... [Seen that on TV somewhere. ]
Sick at the Nats My son and I each took turns on different days at having stomach problems. At first I thought it was food poisoning since mine surfaced after 4 to 6 hours of a bad restaurant meal. He had the same issue 3 days later. Popping 12 Pepto Bismols helped a bit. I'm over mine, he's still not. We also bought bottled water at the Nats.
Hope you're feeling better Dave.....great to see you and spend time talking. ....as to "The Bottled Water" theory (sold by the track concession stand) thats all I drank everyday - at least 3-5 bottles per day and I have a somewhat weak stomach.....not a problem here o No:
Don't drink the water???? Thought that was just Mexico...oh boy... :ball: Just got a nasty cold...from watching the big storm..hail....flood...glad i took my own water!!! Hope everybody is okay! :eek2:
My daughter Kylie did and i had stomach cramps while i was down there. Did anyone else notice the black helicopter with no lights that flew low around the scottsville road area all night long Thurs,Fri, and Sat. nights? You could only see it if it was between the moon or stars and you. All the people that stayed at our motel heard it and some of us seen it. Also, did anyone notice the red "dots" that had the consistency of dried paste wax on thier cars? Took water and a good bit of rubbing to remove them? What the hell is going on down there????? Peace WildBill
I came down with Laryngitis that morphed into a wicked head cold. Still home sick today. Wildbill, I did get a drop of that red stuff on the sun visor I wore all week. Couldn't figure out just what that was. o No:
Hope everyone is feeling better!! I had no problems except being tired...really tired. I think that had to do with the long days and short nights. As for the water thing, we brought our own water. I was 2 bucks for a case, couldn't beat that, its already in a container. After I drank a bottle, I just filled it back up in the bathroom sink at the track. I have the philosophy of why should I pay for something that falls out of the sky. Bad water usually doesn't bother me, its usually greasy food that'll make me sick. Then again, I've been drinking water out of the ground all my life so that shouldn't really affect me.
Dave, I have been sick since we (read, help from the plains gang) loaded up on Saturday afternoon. With two pristine doors and a 70 re-chromed N-25 going back in the trailer for the trip home. Patrick
Its the Beech Bend version of Legionaire's disease!!! (not sure if I spelled that right) Hope everyone is feeling better.
I lost my voice also and dern it I would like it back, all I do is squeek now . We did come home with a few of them red dots on our trailer, I'll ask my sis-in-law the scientist if she can analyze them. As far as drinking the water, we brought our own. Hope everyone who did get sick, feels better real soon. Beth
red dots i am thinking the red dots are rust from all the mopars and fords hiding while you guys were here, lol!! sorry to hear about all the illnesses while you were here, my wife works at the hospital and i will ask her if she has heard anything. get well soon. :TU: jerry
Jerry, whats up with the black helicopters at night over the scottsville rd and I-65 exchange o No: Peace WildBill

Feeling any better yet? Hi Dave, Are you feeling any better yet? It couldn't have been the beer I gave you. Chuck and I checked it over and over again to make sure it was safe for consumption. :beer :beer :beer :beer Perhaps you caught it from the fellow you bought this grille off of? After he took your final offer he was probably sick!
