I spent three years off and on looking for a Model T part that moved with us from Massachusetts to Florida. I found it on Monday of this week.
I definitely feel your pain. last nights debacle was searching for the quarter glass parts. took 2 hours to find the upper stops and the rubber inside guide strips. Monday night it was hunting for the door lock retaining clips and the day before that it was hunting for the original matched pair of door lock cylinders. None of matched stuff was in the same place? (Gremlins?). The good news is i found other stuff i wasn't looking for but will need shortly including the original sun coupe top crank handle, its broken but has part info on it. If anyone has a spare they want to sell let me know.

Its on the way! i have the broken original- the part i have looks exactly the same as the photo including the "golde" name on it. been hunting for this part for 20 plus years- only ones i saw were from dreamers looking for a small retirement fund for it. $65 is a bargain! fritzy got me an original top last year which i had duplicated. The new top is beautiful. Been using a old door handle to open/close it.
