Dan Healey and myself arranged a little "agreement" between his Bengals and my hometown, World Champion, New England Patriots.... The agreement was, the loser donates to the board..... Dan, I'm sure JW is thankful for your donation..... :Brow: I think this might be a good way to generate some revenue for the board and if anyone else might want to join in, feel free to use this thread.... As the season winds down, the games will be getting harder and harder to pick, obviously, but I'm almost positive there are a few football fans out there who might like to join in the fun. This is a win, win situation and by that I mean, if you win, you get bragging rights, the board gets a donation of whatever you've agreed upon and some big oaf named Vinny isn't gonna come looking for you if you haven't paid up just yet.... :blast: I don't know, sounds like a good idea to me, whatcha think?? o No:
I did this last year for the playoffs. I also tried to get something like this started at the beginning of this season, involving the Seahawks, but nobody wanted to bite. Once the playoffs get rolling, assuming the 'hawks are in, I'll start up the same thing I did last year.
The 'hawks have no defense. They're running 3rd string guys out there. But, someone will have to win the NFC west. Nobody expects much after that though.
Anyone care to make the remaining NFL games a little more "interesting"? Yeah, get my Vikings a defense. That would make the games a little more interesting for me. ou:
You don't find Randy Moss rolling to the right to throw for the endzone interesting!? I couldn't stop watching it on my Replay TV! :Brow:
Steve, I've been so busy with work I didn't even get a chance to catch any details about the game. Where is the best place on the web to see a clip of the play?
Jeez, but didn't the Seahawks just win @ Minnesota? Yep, I have to agree about the Seahawks, but sure like their coach and what he does and gets out of the players that he does have. Besides, their running game has been pretty fantastic lately. I'm not a fanatic about any NFL team, but do love watching the pro's play the game.
get em an offense too! I gave up on the queens when they took a knee with 47 seconds left in 98. I had a glimmer of hope when moss started out great, then became an a$$, the a hurt, lazy, play when he wants to play player. Anyway Green is gone so i still peek occasionally. ou: i would rather watch racing :3gears: :3gears:
football ill take the packers this week. any jaguars fans out there care to bet? loser donates to the board? should be a good game.
When I first saw this post I was like "What? and change to the three down system?" hee hee hee. Us wacky Canadians.
Okay, Indy Fans... Here's your chance to have a cool $25.00 donated to the board in your name. You're team is coming to New England Sunday, having just dismantled Denver, with a quarterback who's having the BEST season ever, winning ANOTHER MVP award...this one should be a cinch for you... :Brow: I'll take New England.... Straight up win, no points, as the spread looks to be pretty even.... So, who's confident enough???? o No:
There are Indy Fans? Actually I like their chances, but the defense... o No: Hey Brett, I sent Jim $50 (cause I planned on sending $25 before the bet). I need to sell some parts. :bglasses:
No Indy fans out there want any of this action??? C'mon, there's gotta be one out there somewhere....
