Looks like it was an old race car, anybody know it or some history on it? https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/barrie/rare-1963-buick-lesabre/1514254529
Nailed Racing outta Oklahoma. A/FX Class was introduced in 1962 . Anyone make out the front fender lettering? Jim
Yes, that's what it says. This car is about 45 min away from me. If it doesn't sell before I'm back out that way (a few weeks) I'll see if the owner will let me come by and take a few more pics and maybe get the back story on it if he knows anything?
Damn, somebody's gotta get that car. Very neat. No radio 4-sp. LeSabre & most likely a race car from day 1.
Found this: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533078 Little backstory, accuracy unknown.....Jim
Found a little about it here... Best I could do resizing ... poor clarity! ws https://barnfinds.com/exclusive-1963-buick-lesabre-4-speed/
This would be a fun car to drive no doubt. Especially since it has the 4spd. i wonder if the dual quad setup is still with the car?
Even if it was lettered up to look vintage it is still a very cool car. What an unusual car. Look at all that shiney stuff. Mmmm. Super Cool car!
Bill, that article is 3 years old and by the look of the car now alot of work has been done since. Primrose,ON is only 30 minutes away from Orangeville, so it's likely still there as when selling on kijiji you have to pick the closest main city to you if you're in a small town (like Primrose). If someone on here is 100% serious about this car I'd go and look it over for them and get all necessary info they would require as it's very close to where I grew up and I live only 40-45 min away from there now.
Absolutely the end of the big car era. Some of you youngin's need to understand. The early sixties were all about Impala's Catalina's. Bigger cars. Look up Swiss Cheese Pontiac's. There were no A bodies. This Buick is crazy rare. Some Le Sabre fan needs to own this. I know my brother loves it. Four speed bench seat radio delete car?
Send me the dough and I'll be on my way. I agree this is one sweet car that's why I posted it here in hopes a fellow buick lover would see it and grab it up before it gets stripped down and left in pieces for 10 years cause someone is "restoring it" someday.
How cool would it be to restore it and run it in the Nostalgia Events? Lemme answer my own question, SO COOL! JIM
It is a cool car. I've seen it and spoken to the owner a couple of times. The Barn Finds piece is the same car. He never admitted it, but he had the distressed lettering done.
