I'm thinking about purchasing a 1970 Buick Electra 225 and originally it had a vinyl top. But it was torn off sometime during it's life.

Does anybody know where you can purchas vinyl? Either on the Internet or in PA?

Did they send the vinyl pre-cut for you, or did you have to cut it up yourself?

...and also, if they did already have it pre-cut was it just for Skylarks...GS's..and GSX's? Or all models?

Try to find a top and trim resto type shop in your area. They should be able to redo it with original material, and if their a resto shop, they probably can get repro material and make it from scratch.

Or I suppose you could just call Year One, and they might be able to direct you somewhere that has it if they don't.

it was precut from year one and a little oversized for adjustments. trimming was needed. i put mine on in a day. if youre going to do it yourself, make sure you have the right adhesive, a good sqeegee, a heat gun and occasionally an extra set of hands.

I had done an article for the buildsheet that went over how to install a vinyl top a few months back. FYI It was easy to install just need a good set of eyes and a couple extra hands.

TXGS do you have your article on it? If you do, could you post it on here somehow?
