Frank, A story of inspiration, if you're attempting a Frame Off: I know a guy that knows NOTHING about cars, at all, who just bought a '70 Chevelle, just because everyone else has "cool cars", and he didn't! He picked up a pretty nice car for $1,200, and drove it home. He got a pair of sawhorses, and TOTALLY disassembled that car, and put the frame on them, where he Sandblasted it, and Painted it, and reassembled it! He got the car DONE within 1 Year, with help from a bunch of Church guys and Neighbors who offered to help him out! To look at the car NOW, you'd think he paid $40,000 for it! The Dark Blue paint is so "deep" (from the Clearcoat) it looks like it's WET, all the time, even though it has never even seen water (he Dry washes it, with soft rags!). Instead of wasting time looking for a Rotisserie, consider using something that might be more available to you, like the sawhorses, or whatever you can use as stands to support the frame, while you work on it. As long as you have the body off, the frame isn't too bad to work with, by yourself! (I just worked on a '71 the same way. Once the body was off, I could move it around a lot easier!) :Smarty: Either way, I hope you find a way to get started soon. Good Luck! :TU: :beer

Hey Frank, it twas me. was going to look at jefferson and such and didn't see one. Like I had said I wont need one for awhile. I also woulden't mind building one. i am kind of curious how much a body and frame weigh w/o drive train and suspension. (wondering if I could do an overhead rotissary where I don't have any down points to get in the way (or down points near the car) I have an engine and drive line to build first then we'll see what happens to the body/ frame.
that was quick.... no problem....just chime in when near ....figure I will be on it for about 1-2 months....my partner wont be ready till maybe the beginning of 2007...we will arrange something.... we are buying a 1500 # rotisserie....you should have no problem with frame on or off the body
I don't know if it will help you but years ago Muscle Car Review had plans to build a simple rotisserie. I made one according to the supplied plans and it worked great. Someone must have that article somewhere. I built it in a day, and it knocked down nicely for storage. Adam
