Anybody have current market value of a 72 post skylark?

Im going tomorrow to look at a suposed 72 skylark sedan 2 door.
Does anyone have any info on the production of these cars?

    72 Skylark Post Car!

I look at his car this mornig 72,000 original miles. 2 owner 350 2bbl,Factory AC, Dark Saddle bench interior, 63 Paint original paint, vinyl top T code. All chrome all around and has Rocker moldings with red stripes. Interior perfect. No rust on this car anywhere body is completely solid and no place any repair has been done. Bezels and skylark/GS grill almost perfect. no pits/ breaks etc...
No rust in trunk etc.. or coresupport all perfect!Fenders, Bumpers are excellent. Original chrome needed no work at all... Has nice 14 inch rallys.

In my opinion a strong 8.5-9 out of 10..
Just wondering about value of this car?
Negotiating with seller and just concerned about value.
    ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!
I never saw a car this nice around here! Totally amazing!!

    Thanks

    Dustin,
He probably has a 2-door Post model. They have a post between the front and rear side windows. The front doors have vent windows, and body that completely surrounds the glass, like on a Nova. Lots of things are different, but lots are also the same.

There is a picture of one painted like a yellow GSX on this site somewhere.

AS far as the body goes...

I know the doors are different and the post is there. Is that post welded into the car? Is there any possble way to make this car in to a hardtop?

    Just curious?

This car is supposed to be rustfree throughout and it wish it was a hardtop? Im looking at it tomorrow will post pics then.

Any production numbers on these cars?

    Thanks
    Dustin

they make kool street cars,i had a 70,mine was bare bones real basic interior,i think it was quite a bit lighter than a hard top, they are kind of unusual because people bought chevy when they went for a lower priced car

    Dustin,
The post is welded to the roof and the quarter.
The regular coupes, and convertibles, have a brace welded from the quarter window area to the floorpans that the post models do not have. I think the roof braces are also different, but don't remember for sure if that is true for the 70-72's. The quarter panels also do not have the hole cut out for the black plastic vent.
There are other slight changes here and there.

Post cars are desirable for race cars as they don't Flex as much and weigh less, plus that vent window is cool!:bglasses::Smarty:
