I pulled a vacuum on my AC system 3 weeks ago and now want to put R12 in it. DugsSin is bringing R12 (I hope he has enough - anyone else have some?). However, I don't know if I'll need to pull more vacuum. Can anyone bring a vacuum pump and some R12?
You can make one from an old refrigerator compressor.......all you need to do is find a brass fitting (from an appliance parts distributor) and solder it to the copper tube and squirt some oil into it every now and then. I have been using mine for over 15 years. You can even recycle r-12 with it using an empty tank and a bucket of ice water, but that is hard for me to explain. :bglasses:
Oooooooo, I don't think so... mine is empty. Totally, and I think it takes like 4+ pounds. My buddy has a tank, now I hope I can get to him.
