any way to figure out a 71 GS ???

Hey you'all ....

Is there any way to figure out my 71 GS conv. original engine / trans configuration ?? It is not in the VIN, nor on the cowl tag ( I don't believe ) .... Would that info be on the build sheet, if I could find it ??

Vin# is 434671H100757 ....

It is now a 350 auto, center console .... but the original
clutch pedal is still in the car ....

PS .... tried to post a pic, but it was to big ... do I need to reformat it to fit ( it is now in .jpeg, and is 655 KB )

 

If the gas tank has not been dropped paperwork is likely on top of it. Once the tank is drained lowering the tank is not a big job.

 

My 72 Skylark had the build sheet inside the rear seat bottom.

If you find the Flint buildsheet, that is usually found on top of the gas tank, I can decode all the info, including the drivetrain.
