    ~~~~Any 1/4 mile tracks open in December or January??? ~~~~
    We're looking for a 1/4 mile track to go racing at in December or January. So far I'm not finding one that isn't 1500 miles away. If I do find one it's only open for one day for T&T. Whats the deal?? Can anyone let me know of a track open during the winter. We're jonesing to race since the clutch screwed up our season this year.
    HELP PLEASE!!!!!!
    Atco in NJ is open almost year around (other then a few weeks around X-mass and New Year). It is a nice track at sea level and it is pretty close to the shore. It is still 800+ miles or so, but nearly half of 1500 miles. I think they have a schedule online.
    Atco Raceway in NJ is open a few weekends in December although it is 825 miles from your location.
    It looks like they have racing on Sat and Sun. Plus you won't get too many tracks that are faster.
    I've been there in December and it was flurrying.
    Maybe some of the Northeast crew can come on down and cheer you on.
    How is it that a track in NJ is open but most of Georgia's tracks are closed in mid November. I guess US 41 in IN is open year round, weather pending. Can't race the Regal with flurries though. That is if he doesn't want to finish the run on his roof :Dou:
    Texas might be the place to go. I would think the southern states would be open longer.
    Danie,
    Time to join the mass exodus from bad weather, high taxes and limited racing season......move to FL! LOL!
    Our tracks are never closed and we have perfect weather for 8 months of the year. :laugh:
    If you do come here...make sure you bring these.... :bglasses:
    Oh come on, talk your man into making the trip to Arizona in January. You can run at Firebird or Speedworld, stop over and see Mike at TA and drop in on Barrett-Jackson :)
    Yeah, aren't you guys looking for an excuse to come to AZ. You can even work on your tan in the winter! High 30 to 40 degree night time air temps are great for us normally aspirated guys, not sure how much of a factor it will be for you. And challenge Mike to a race, so he'll put the wagon back together. Do it like Pinks, give him a couple lengths!
    Bradenton has the best hook this side of the Mason Dixon, and maybe the other side, too! Check their website for schedule.
    There's a BOP race in Gainesville, FL on December 2nd. I haven't been there in a few years, but the starting line is usually pretty good. I've also seen mineshaft air there in December.
    Have fun.
