    brblx clueless

my comp cam blows, as well. lost power, been through everything and can't find the culprit. gonna degree the cam pretty soon and see if it helps.

pity about your cam, i had some hope in crane.

not only is this real world, but according to desktop dyno, a TA stage1 (like .400 lift and light on the duration) would make more power than my .469/218* comp cam.

Why would you run these cams when there are reputable Buick venders selling proven cams?

    Good point!

I have no easy way to get my hands on these good parts.
I actually did order my shaft 2.5 years ago,had to wait for it almost .5 year to be delivered and then i had it resting on a bench +1 year before i installed it!
Before i joined this board i only know about one company dealing in Buick parts. I got there catalog in the early 90:s from a friend who was aupair. This company don't have much of a home page.
For me to have parts shipped to Sweden, fix things with custom, import tax and so on
did not feel like an option at the time.
And there is this company with a owner from Sweden putting adds in Swedish car magazines:
easy to order, we talk Swedish, bye from us they sells Crane...
now i know there is so many more good ones,by the way i think "Yardley" got them cowered here:

This is one off the reasons why i just added my word off wisdom at the bottom!

Didn't realize you were from Sweden. Those cams are basically chevy grinds anyhow.

The fact Im a Swede does not make the cam better
Degree the cam actually did. It was 6* retarded! The timing marks on the sprockets still lined right up! It was not worn out, only 3/16 play to the chain.
Cheap crap timing parts! And I was a fool that didnt check it the first time.:stmad:
I had a new adjustable set before I took it apart.
    Now it is 4* advance.
Why, Im trying to get as much as possible as early as I can on this setup
And when I was at it I checked the ign. Timing mark on the harmonic. 4*of = 16*initial vas actually only 12* and so on.
Now I have to do some more adjustments to the distributor, it started to ping with the vacuum line connected.
Then came the rain, so I had to quit for to day.
Things got better, but rely not that good!
    The bottom line is:
I will newer ewer again bye performance Buick parts from one that doesnt know Buick :Smarty:
