Brought my teenage son a 1984 Toyota Corola, great shape and clean, good on gas and was cheap, perfect first car ? I been driving it for the last few days, and only one problem, after the car warms up, it seems then to start to mis in low gears, under load and pulling away from a light, it seems like its running on 3 cylinders instead of 4, but with out the backfire
I've owned several Corollas but would only be guessing at this problem. Easiest start point is check the plugs.
It sounds like the EGR valve. Same thing happened with my Camry. But also check plugs and wires.. Good luck
