I was wondering if anyone who went to Bowling Green last weekend made any purchases worth noting at the swap meet/flea market? Any of that rare stuff still out there at reasonable prices?

    well..........................

I bought both an NOS 350 timing cover and H2O pump for a hundred bucks. I was pretty happy.

I watched an NOS 71 Skylark grille go for 180.00. I had no need so I passed.

I will say, however, by Friday there was little NOS worth buying. The one vendor with any quantity is an E-bay dealer.

I saw a sign for 2 71 GS grilles for 1200.00 @. However, it did NOT say NOS so speculate they were not.

It was a good place to find broken grilles. Lots of '72s much cheaper than E-bay .

I picked up a nice 4-speed consolette for $250. Had both boot rings, a brand new upper boot and no broken studs. Also has a pretty nice tri-shield cup in the top. Not bad compared to the $350 to $450 ones that I saw with non working tachs and broken/ missing parts.

Did anyone come across any Stage 1 carbs or distributors or have they all been eBayed to death?

    a '71 and a '74

    I found a core '71 S1 carb for $575.00

    He also had a '74 S1 carb.

    I couldn't justify buying the '71.

I'm sure I'll kick myself later.:(

I am passively pursuing the carb right now but if doesn't work out, I 'll clue you in.:)

whew, i bought a mess of parts, too much to list it all, but i did get a floor shift tilt column with a 16" sport wheel, some near perfect rocker mouldings, 70 only front wheel well mouldings, 70 & 71 GS front hood chrome, 71 sport mirrors, a borg warner super T-10 four speed, four speed speedometer, old style tach, 69 GS 400 air cleaner and hood grilles, and a few other items.

these items are not for sale, but maybe a few will be in the future.

one guy had stuff at fire sale prices and i was the first one to his pile, so i got alot from him. some of what i bought was very low priced, soome was not. seemed like less vendors than last year, but i still managed to spend most my money.

All for the low, low price of $325. I'm calling him this week for the bucket seat covers, headliner, and carpet.
