Anybody upgraded lately? looking for a Pentium 900MHz or so (maybe faster) with motherboard. Nothing too fancy or expensive, just a nice little board for a small PC. ATX form factor w/integrated sound/video/LAN...

my best friend and i went to our favorite salvage store saturday ... he bought a New in the box HP 514n with 17 in monitor .. 2.2 gighz 256 meg 2100 DDR ram 60gig HD cd burner/dvd player floppy modem network card polk speakers 64 "shared" meg on board video/audio keybord & mouse win xp home edition under 500 bux after tax.but it dont come with a mouse pad:Brow: it works great. i cant believe how cheap you can buy a good machine these days. when i have tried to use pricewatch, alot of NEW things that pricewatch says was THE low price could be found cheaper and in stock at buy.com or tigerdirect ... and every few weekends buy.com has free shippin too!!! i wonder if sellers who want to be "pricewatched" pay pricewatch a fee. i have never checked them for used stuff .... may be a whole different story.
celeron. alot of people dont like celerons but i have had 3 different ones (266, 466, and a gig)and have had no problem processor related ... i ran an overclocker on my 266 and crippled it trying to break the 300 mark (oooops). i have a 1ghz celeron in my own machine right now.
Hey Adam, What processor can I fit on that board??? PIII? 1GHz??? Seems I can find a ton of motherboards OR processors, but a decent used combo is tough to find.
