One of the reasons I bought my convertible was to have a place to smoke cigars. (I can see the car craze easily replacing my cigar collecting) I find myself picking cigars to match the length of the drive. I need to go on a double corona drive before the rains set in. What are you guys smokin'?
I have not progressed that far but crazy cheap doper brands from time to time. I really don't like tobacco in my mouth. So I have a cigar holder, buy them with tips or warp the mouth end in tape. I really got a taste for them black n mild new apple ones. But the store jacked up the price almost 50%. So I have been working on a box of philli blunt strawberry ones. They are hugh and thought I wouldn't buy them again. But they have lasted allot longer. They also look less feminine except for the inch or so covered with priority mail tape. [Priority mail tape could replace duct tape, it sticks to everything.]
When I smoked, it was the cheap Sugar tipped Cjimars in Vanilla flavor. Cherry makes me sick Of course, the last time I smoked cigars regularly was when I had my 85 Riviera (clapped out)... and that was almost three years ago
Which Cohiba do you prefer? I like the Robustos and the Limited edition Double Corona is amazing. I've been smoking Partagas Shorts on most of my drives. La Luna African Fuerte is now a favorite. I love those cameroon wrappers.
Anybody here tried Lars Teton's??? Now that's a good smoke! Macanudo is a standby; Don Diego is tasty; Partagas were my regular. I haven't smoked too many cigars lately, but this thread may have me down at the local cigar store tomorrow!
When I can get them I somoke the Corona Especial Nat, otherwise I smoke the Corona Nat on a daily basis. Really good cigars. If you want something totally different try the Acid Blondie, its a totally different flavor and the aroma is like licorice. My brother smokes the Blondies all the time and he generally gets more 8-10 a week which I usually smoke on the way home from work, BUT you cant beat the Cohiba, that is my "lunch walk" cigar if you know what I mean. I eat lunch and talk a long walk enjoying my smoke.
Yeah!!! those Lars are something else, I think its a heavy flavor, but man a really good smoke. Never had a Mac or Don DIego, Partagas I thought had a bitter bite. Either way they're all good, glad to see some guys on here who appreciate a good cigar!!
2 of my kids are in Navy and whenever they or their buddies go on deployment they bring me back the Corona Especial Nats. Very expensive here but not to bad in the Arab Emirates. So I usually have a good supply at a reasonable cost. Otherwise when I buy, its the Corona Nat. You know, the wife will complain if I buy cigarettes (used to smoke Lucky's) but when I smoke cigars, I never hear a complaint. Maybe she likes the smell or she doesn't know what I pay for these!!
Those Lars are definitely the BEST cigar I have ever had. Either it's a good cigar, or I'm exposing my gutter level taste...
Smoked cigars from the time I was in vietnam till 1996... had a stroke... haven't touched one since.... believe me I would love too.....
I don't smoke cigars but this topic does remind me of the time my cousin came back from texas with this huge cigar the size of an aerosol can and of Bill Clinton. :spank:
Check out this site... I'm not into the cigars but my brothers are. My brother H is into them pretty big and has his own deal going. Here is his web site: http://www.holy-smoke.com And yes, he's legit... GS
I enjoy the occasional fine cigar. I used to enjoy collecting them as much as did smoking them. The cigar hobby has slowed down since I was bitten by the horsepower bug. I really enjoy full-bodied cigars such as Partagas, La Gloria Cubana, La Perla Habana, etc. One of my favorites (Cuban or otherwise) is Montecristo. I still have a few rare cigars in my collection: Fuente Fuente Opus X Perfecxion No. 2, Davidoff Special "T", and the rarest Partagas 150 "AA". Later, Ken
