Anyone got parking spots left for the Woodward Dream Cruise ? We need a big Buick turnout.

We need to hear from the Great Lakes Buick Club. They had a spot in Pontiac that was great and we had a good time. Will bring 2 Buicks this year.

August 19th is the "official" date of the cruise which is on Saturday. That being said there is usually serious cruising the whole weekend (Fri.,Sat.,Sun.)
After much consideration I actually think I'm going to go up this weekend for the "Cruzin Telegraph" event. U.S. 24 (Telegraph Rd.) is where I grew up cruising so the draw for me is stronger for this event.

The information for the Cruzin' Telegraph can be found at http://www.cruzintelegraph.com

I am planning on going sometime in the late afternoon (Saturday 29th). It is supposed to be HOT 90+ degrees, so hopefully my car won't get too hot.

On August 19th in downtown Flint, there is the 2nd annual "Back to the Bricks" show- LOTS of Buicks will be there, parked on the bricked paved streets of downtown Flint! :3gears: I went last year to the 1st one-nice alternative to the Woodward gridlock! :TU: Free admission, too!

Not only is the "Back to the Bricks" free, but the first 1000 participants get a free "T" shirt! there will be a DJ, two bands, and a flame thrower contest. There will also be cars from GM, Chrysler ,and 3 museums on display. If you are tired of the "gridlock", come on up to Flint. :beer :beer :beer :TU:

Cost me $17,000 last year to cruise up to Flint. Saw a GN with a for sale sign and then Joe (the old guy) told me it was too nice not to buy :spank: so I did. It is a nice relaxed show and lots of fun. We did morning and afternoon on Woodward then went Dixie up to Flint for the evening.

The "Back to the Bricks" starts at 10AM August 19, and runs to 8PM , but only the first 1000 get "T" shirts. I would guess they will be gone by noon or thereabouts.
Cme see us, it will be a great change from the "gridlock" on Woodward
