I have a 70 riv with a 73 455 that runs swell. got it from san antonio. 99% rust free, but needs a new interior. It even has the full skirts. I love smokin the tires on that skirted highway cruiser. raced a caddy sts in a roller and then off the line. he didn't catch me on the roller until about 80-90 mph. I lost the quarter by 1 car length. blew him right off the line but he caught me right at the end. not bad for the riv considering the sts has 3:70 gears and a 300 horse northstar. not sure what the horsepower is on my riv but you all know the stock power in 73 for a standered 455-4. if i only had deeper gears i would have made him look terrible with my ratted out interior. it doesn't even have door panels. hahaha i just love all that low end tourqe :beer anyone know what stock gears would be in a 70? its a 10 bolt rear probly a 278 or 292 or something
