Do names like Gurney, Hill, Amon, Clark, or Bandini make you want to tear around city and country roads in a 1.5 or 3.0L 1500 pound car at 190+ mph, while listening to exhaust pulses screaming from just behind your head??

I wish there was a chanel with old car racing.. I like the drama of the old races, the new ones are just too ZZzz.. I went to the Melbourne GP in 2002 and I didn't think it was that fun, we had good seats, and there was big ass crash in the first turn, but seeing a car going down the straight lap after lap isn't really that exciting. I don't know if they have touring car racing here, but in Europe it's a big thing, and it's the best car racing there is.

How'd you like to play a racing simulation on your PC that is very cheap, and is pretty d@mn accurate, modelling (initially) the 1967 GP season- 400 hp cars, no aero. You can play this sim online as well. Lotus, Ferrari, Cooper, Honda, AAR, BRM. Drivers include Clark, Stewart, Rindt, Ickx, Hill, Gurney, Amon, Surtees, and others, at places like Watkins Glen, Spa, Monza, Monte Carlo, Nurburgring, Silverstone, and others. All very accurately rendered as to elevation and track contour. Montoya played it, thought it was quite good

I bring this up every year or so :)

    this is racing

Dozens of tracks exist, such as Indy, Snetterton, Goodwood, Imola, Osterreichring, Hockenheim, etc. New, accurate cars are being modded to represent the '37, '55, '65, and '69 seasons- '69 season having aero

wet conditions and rain are also being implemented. All 3rd party, all high standard, all flipping free after the purchase of this sim, which will need to be patched. If GPL costs 20 bucks now I'd be shocked

Good God do I love old F1 :TU:
