So here I am walking through the Milwaukee New Car Show last weekend, and upon viewing the window sticker on a new Mercedes (it was either a 500 or a 550) low and behold they are using "Anti squat suspension geometry" as a promotional item right on the sticker refering to their five link rear suspension design! This is basic stuff for us drag racers, and I'm sure some overpaid HR or IT goon who just bought one will be trying to impress others by recklessly throwing the term all over the place as if this is some new German engineering marvel, I just had to listen to the salesman try and explain this to a potnetial customer who asked him about it, I didn't know if I was going to burst out in laughter or vomit right there in the convention center. His answer was general and lame..."Well sir, it's one of Mercedes' latest design features that is exclusive to their automobiles". These are the same guys who tell me I'm a gear head geek when I'm under the car adjusting control arms and using a pinion angle gauge! At the same time though, wouldn't it be great if the American manufactuers promoted design highlights such as this? For automobiles in this price range, one would think they were past things like this long ago! So be ready for your "euro-trash" neighbor or co-worker to be spewing this forth from the hole under under their nose, and then remind them about the GS that Nicolai Bulgari drives and blows them off with on the Autobahn! :Comp: :3gears: :beer

Don't worry, it all balances out. All the gear-heads will be doing the same thing with the "revolutionary" M$ Vista features that other computers had in the 80s.

they give it some fancy ass name and what not, we just slap a "heavy duty" sticker on it. Ever seen an old advertisment for a muscle car. Gots lots of heavy duty.
