I just installed the OEM (NOS production style.....thanks GSsizzler) antenna that I was able to score off Ebay.....worked out perfectly! I really enjoyed ripping out that cheap foreign replacement too.
it looks excellent and once I set the antenna to 28" and followed the radio trimming procedure.....I can now listen to 5 different stations! the cheapo antenna made the radio useless and did nothing
but squeal. Many thanks to everyone, especially My3buicks for bringing the Ebay item to my attention. on to the next project!

Wow looks great on that spiffy car! Got to have tunes! Just a helpful hint on the antenna a friend told me a long time ago put a little die electric grease on the stem as it and the base are galvanized and they tend to bond together! Also a few small drops of very light oil on the telescoping sections make easier to raise and lower as they can bind up ! Even a little bit of force when this happens will bend or break the antenna from the stem!

I see that nice looking '67 on your avatar...IT looks great! may I ask what the "Other2Buicks" are?:) I'm giving serious thought to picking up another Skylark,
ideally with AC and a 4 speed! This LA swamp weather is a killer during the summer!

Currently just have the one Buick, I sold all my other cars prior to moving to Florida in August. The screen name has Been used since somewhere around 1998 and it has mostly held true, sometimes been more sometimes less. This picture is what originally prompted the screen name
