Just goes to show you how "thrilled" they were with what was done to their car! Let's sell it.....quick!!
Or they figure to make a quick buck thinking people will crap their drawers cause it was on "Pimp My Ride." Yeah, big deal.
Problem is they put more into those peoples cars then they make in a year. Ya know they are gonna try and sell it or atleast sell parts of it. A car worth $40,000 isn't as fun to drive when you eat mac n cheese every night.
Has anyone noticed that the cars usually popup like 6 months after the episode is shown? They probably have a clause in the paperwork that says they can't sell it until a certain time.
If I had the oppourtunity, I don't think I would give them my car to do work on. I'd say I would want a high performance BBB with a narrowed frame and instead I'd get a stock SBC with 20 inch rims. But it sure would look fast.
Okay, so this guy pays $40 to list the car on eBay motors, but cannot come up with the $1.65 to supersize all the pictures? uzzled:
I think of this when I watch these shows all the time. There was one overhaulin' where the guy replaced the car before they finished the overhaul. It was the only time I thought the car may stay with the owner for a while.
If they gave me a car that was as offensive in appearance as some of the end results I'd want to sell it too! They never do much in the way of original work, it's always the same crap. Stereo, big ugly rims, gaudy paint. Driving the car might be fun but suddenly owning a target for car thieves wouldn't.
My friend kept telling me that he was gonna call pimp my ride or overhaulin' or one of those shows (I've never seen any of them...I have no cable, but I don't eat mac and cheese every night either  ) and I was ok with the idea. Until now. That is just so damn ugly. I would be so pissed if they took my car and made it into that! I mean, wtf, how do you drive THAT everyday? If I was able to oversee the project, that would be one thing, but if I got back something like that?!? Fxxx That!
