Helllloooo Buick heads! I'm in Washinton state, western (wet) side. I'm a new convert to Buicks, growing up a Chevy guy. My Dad has two buicks he's recently acquired, a '46 (I think) Special and his new pride and joy project, a '51 Roadmaster. It needs a total resto, but we threw a new battery and carb kit at it and it runs great! I'll take some pics later and post them in the classics section.

    Welcome

Welcome to the board. Great place & great people.

I live in Western Washington also, but in sunny southern Washington. Or as some refer to it as the "Banana Belt of Washington". Where it is always 75 degrees and sunny. :bglasses:

But most of the people have to wear big rubber boots to keep the B---S off their feet.

Welcome Malcolm. I to used to be one of those WD-40 body lotion for rust prevention types from the Northwest (Western Oregon), but up and moved to sunny Arizona and now using real honest to goodness suntan lotion. Yep, with all the sunshine down here even the moss that was growing on my north side of the body has dried up and fallen off. Life is good and retirement even better. Sounds like you and Pop are going off on a "great buick adventure". That is great to hear. Do hope you enjoy the ride and post some photos when you can. Jim :TU:

Yeah, I know all about WD-40.
We made it down to arizona back in '02 for a jet boat meet. We only got to stay for the weekend though. It was in late June and it was around 110 degrees!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, for your patience you shall be rewarded with a poor quality pic!
