Just wanted to introduce myself. My name's Kevin Gastaldi, I live in miami fl. and I'm a union ironworker by trade. I'm 27 and am currently fixing (trying to hotrod) my brothers 55' roadmaster 2dr hardtop. the forum's are great, I've looked back to the begining on the one's that interest me and the info is amaizing. It's great to be able to pick the brains of "the guys who were there" and have probably forgotten more than I know. The 55 was my brothers dream car, and first car (pretty strange for someone born in 76). He doesn't have a place to work on it, it's at my house so I want to get it running again for him. I'm a total gearhead and this buick has got me in a trance. The nailhead bug has bit me hard! Have a 322 but want to drop in a 425:Brow: Brian (my twin) wouldn't go for the 460 ford with custom buick valve covers idea:laugh: (my first car was a 67 stang) He wanted a 455 but I think a nailhead is more appropriate. Anyway, love the site and talking bout cars. Old timers out there need to let us younger guys inherit their knowledge!!
Welcome to the forum Kevin! Sounds like a great project! Glad you're sticking with Buick power. You won't be sorry. :TU: Do you have any pictures???
Kevin If you decide to go with a more modern suspension and ditch the torque tube, I saw a guy that put 57 Super body on a 71 or 72 Buck wagon frame. He said it was an easy fit. Once he did this he installed a 455.
