    It doesn't look that bad.
Having done a couple of trunks with the POR15, unless it's paper thin, it should be saveable. The same goes for the floor pans - if they're not Fred Flintstone, they can be dealt with. The frame is important, and he just says surface rust.

Every Skylark in WA seems to have the same fender and door rust - maybe that's why it doesn't look that bad to me.

    Andy,

Not only a Stage 1 4-speed but a Stage 1 4-speed with a BENCH SEAT!! I LOVE the bench seat 4-speed cars...it gives it that much more of a docile, sleeper look. I wish mine was a bench.

As far as condition goes, I've seen MUCH worse turn out really nice...I wonder how much action this thing will get...:puzzled:

Well, the Flint part is the first piece of the puzzle that is needed and it "was" built there.. but so were others...

    #'s and originality

I asked the owner if it was a numbers matching car and could he see the "SS" stamping between the #5 & #7 cylinder. He said that he saw only a #1 between the 5 & 7 cylinders and declined to answer any of my other questions regarding numbers. In any case I'd drop 6k on the car  but I'm holding out for a Stage 1 convertible at this point. The target has been identified I just need to convince the owner he doesn't need it anymore. LOL
Of course if anyone has a project Stage 1 convert for sale feel free to contact me - I'll take one of those too!
