I've seen a few cowl tag threads here lately and wondered what mine says in all them numbers lol. Sorry if people are getting sick of these threads or anything...just if its not a bother could you tell me what they mean? ST 69 44467FLI 308238BDY TR 137 50 A PNT 06C I know what some of it means(I think) 69 is the year and one of them 4's is Buick and I think 44 is 2 dr conv. And I'm pretty sure the 50 in the second line is paint code Arctic White. Correct me if I'm wrong in any of this. So what do the rest of the numbers mean?o No:
4= Buick 44= custom 67= convt 69= year 06c= built 3rd week of June Tr 137 = ? check number [ if 187 = burgandy with buckets] 50 = Polar white A = white top
Joe, To add to Jim's post FL1 is Flint Michigan and if your trim code is 187 it's red deluxe front buckets. Duane
4= Buick 44=Skylark Custom 67= Convertible FL1= Flint 308238= Fisher Body Sequence Number TR 137= ? Don't see 137 listed how about 187? Burgundy 50= Polar White A= white top 06C= Built 3rd week of June.
Whoa, thanks for the speedy replies! It must have been TR 187 instead of 137, because I had bad lighting when reading it, and the car has burgandy interior with buckets, so I must have messed it up. Thanks again!:beer
Ken You have to be quick with all the sharp people on here. Hey if your brake backing plates are pitted I bought a repo pair from OPG for $52 (galavanized).
Thanks for the tip, Jim. My backing plates aren't pitted, but they aren't pretty either. For $52, it just might be worth it! Did OPG actually have them in stock??? As long as we're on brakes, did you get your caliper brackets cad plated? Or did you go repo on those too? I think Fine Lines offers repos, or one of the line companies anyway. OK, back to my Mavis Beacon speed typing program...
