Whoda thunk an engine hoist would lift that high? I never tried to go that far. I might have to try it, just for future reference.

Yea it just kept on going up, needed another 3in on one end so I called my little brother to come help, he done the lifting while I done the positioning. My back is like bubble wrap, certain positions and it will pop and I'm out of commission for weeks. So I now call backup ha

 

Two 14"×2" x 24' beams are holding this roof 8' out from support wall. No sagging for two years now.

 

Kudos for engine hoist repurpose. Hard part done, rest just trimming out...

Gonna sister 6 floor joists in tomorrow and then get plywood down, amazing how much larger a room looks when there is isn't studs jutting up from the middle of the floor ha
