This 'POST" may be boring to some of you, but I think any moment one can share time with Buick Friends, it needs to be posted because ya'll know, we are not promised tomorrow, right?

YUP, its definitely that time again, Northern Friends migrate to our warm, sunny Florida tropical climate to escape shoveling snow!!! ... this year is no different and it began with:

SID AND BELVA MYER... from Indiana. They typically spend about 6 months every year, here in their local condo. Good chance, most of you know this cool couple who are always a gentle, fun, a virtual encyclopedia Buick fact loving, story telling life long Husband & Wife team. Belva is a sweetheart and I enjoy their company and friendship. Its always good to have them back with us!

Next, well, it isnt a couple, its a CAR! Kenny Nissens (Kenny462) gorgeous 1972 birthed as a Skylark, Born-again as a GSX Tribute recreation, Stage 1, auto, TOTALLY AWESOME car! The paint is spectacular!!! It was shipped here to Tampa Bay two weeks ago from Denver, with the intent for me to detail and market to anyone who wants a scream'n, no expense spared BBB 462 street brawler "X Tribute" ...we figure its much easier to sell this car here in Tampa Bay showroom warmness minus 8 inches of snow piled high on the car in Colorado!., right? . . .anyway, watch for it -soon to be posted for sale.

Next is a GOOFY fun GROUP from Caledonia, Michigan, aka: Jerry, (SMOKEY15), his lovely wife Gayle and their long time friend Todd, living in Port Charlotte. They trekked up here yesterday (Thursday 11.21.19) to get a "personal sneak peek tour" of the HUGE WAREHOUSE SALE I am hosting Saturday. Todd was amazing at his ability to point out old car parts I didnt know, BY NAME!!! Gayle is a sweet blessing to be around, especially putting up with her twisted husband Jerry's goofy and forever constant jokes! (if you know Jerry, you KNOW hes is a hoot, right?) The FUN TIME continued at my favorite restaurant DOCKSIDE DAVES on sandy white shores of Madeira Beach. (I have treated some of ya'll here in the past) Blackened and beer batter fresh caught Gulf Grouper samiches, waffle fries and some cold drinks! Dining with them sitting near the nicest sunset on the Gulf, was a hit among these friends! .. and THANK YOU for the dinner!
WELCOME BACK any time Jerry, Gayle and Todd!

Come the 1st of the year I will be in the migration. I head to the east coast around Palm Beach. I hang out in the warmth of the sun, and my Buick brethrn that congregate at John Carrols (Waterboy) house. Looking forward to fresh fish and stone crab.

I call it the great geezer migration. It typically starts in earnest on the Saturday after thanksgiving. The ole folks have thanksgiving with their kids and grandkids, clean up and pack up on Friday, then leave for sunny Florida on Sattiday. The first Sattiday after Thanksgiving is just about the worst possible day to drive to Florida because all of the other snowbirds are doing exactly the same thing - ask me how I know.

The east coast of Florida is popular with Quebecers, They are easy to spot, Brown as a nut, beerbelly and squeezed into a speedo.:D

    Hey! We ain't geezers!
Sucks, but we return home tomorrow. We came down to help Todd while his kids got a rest. There is a post about that. It was really nice to meet you and hang out together, Dennis. Wish we could be there Saturday, but we will be returning home. Todd has your cell # and I'll send you his info. I told him to get on here. Gayle, Todd and I had a nice day. Todd was whooped but glad he decided to go with us. The grouper was super! I know You offered, but we couldn't stick you with the tab for all of us. We enjoyed the conversation. It was great to meet You. Times like these are the best to have etched in one's memory.

..um, Gary? you forgot to mention one thing about KahBekkers. . .(its not Qwe Beck) they wear dark soxs with flip flops on the beach... TOTAL GIVE AWAY!!!

SHORT STORY: Years ago Kahbekkian Govt attended one of our local Gov't meetings and
"insisted we install FRENCH SIGNAGE long our roads for ease of directional driving by our people," OTHERWISE they continued, "Us kahbekkers will go elsewhere..."
Our Govt nicely replied, "we are sincerely apologetic, we will try not to miss you..."

I'll have to watch my calendar for an open time when the wife is back up north working. Then I'll take a road trip. I'm still waiting for that Grouper sammich.

Another short story. American tourist visiting Montreal dies going the wrong way in a tunnel entrance and has a head on collision. ALL the road signs here are in French which is strange (and embarrassing) as Montreal has a ton of U.S. visitors every year due to the low buck (and Pot tourism). So I'm glad your Gov't told them to piss off.

For all of Buick folks both in FL and wintering there. John Carrol has a winter get together at his house. Last year there were 20 plus Buicks there. He has not set the date last I talked to him. He will post it, and I'll try to remember to add it here.

Canadians do drive on the Right? don't they?? Spent a summer up there (western provinces) years ago, seem to remember they did drive on the Right. Is Quebec Left hand Drive??

All of North America is right hand drive. It was the lack of english signage that did her in.
