Anyone ever noticed this amazing resemblence between the fender louvers on the mid 80's FJ-60 Land Cruiser and the '66 Buick Skylark? Think maybe one of the Toyota Engineers during that time was a closet '66 Buick fan?!!

    Brian,
I have noticed that myself. It is too bad you cant buy that part from Toyota and install it on your Buick :Do No:. That is a very hard part to find in perfect shape. I found one person that had a pair for sale that was restored they wanted $350. I thought that was too much so I passed.

Don't forget that GM and Toyota have been involved in many projects. I'm not sure when they started to work on these projects. It may have been in the mid 80's.

That is a nice ride you have :TU:

I hope that mine looks as nice when I decide to get off my butt and finish it. I'm worried at this point to finish the car, because my barn is full of all kinds of stuff. I have a bunch of it piled on top of the car.

    I've noticed, too.......

And I've heard Jeep used nailhead TH400 trannies in some Cherokee models in the 1970's.....

That is true. The crazy thing is they used nailhead TH400s behind Buick 350s---
    Go figure.
