I have one of my cars under a carport at my house. It is on a car trailer, with a car cover and the whole thing covered with a tarp. Seems to stay dry and out of the elements. When I was removing the battery the other day I noticed the aluminum heads and wildcat manifold were showing some oxidation. What can I spray on to protect them for the winter. I was thinking mabye silicon or wd-40? Thanks
Those would probably work, or any kind of oil should. Well, as long as it doesn't run off. Just be sure to clean it off before starting it up again.
matbe spray some engine fogger on them, or call a boat shop they have a lot of products for winterizing
it may be too late, but i have had good luck painting aluminum parts with high temp clear engine paint. you can buy this product at most auto parts stores. ta
I can attest to the TSP aluminum treatment. I had my TA SP-1 intake done years ago and it never oxidizes and looks like the day it came back from them, even with our infamous New Jersey humidity.....:gt: HIGHLY recommended...:TU:
