I put a post a couple of weeks ago looking for a non ac alternator bracket for the 455. Two people have generously offered to send them to Australia, however one of the brackets is off a 300 ci motor. There are a couple of threads pertaining to the interchange question,but no definitive answer, so does the 300 bracket set up fit up as a direct fit to the 455?? Thanks to Jarrod and Douglas for their offers.!!!:beer
Don't know about a 300, but 350 and 3.8 heads have the same bolt pattern as a 455, so they will work.
Yes, the 300 alternator bracket does work on the 400, 430 and 455. I have swapped them many times. Just ask Dana/Beth Andrews, I sold them one from a 300 which was exactly like the one off of my 455 but in better condition... :grin:
