Alternator Adjustment Bolt

    Both bolts are 5/16-18 coarse thread. The adjuster bolt is 1" long from under the head. (The correct way to measure )

    Thanks Dave, that’s what mine are. Must be an optical illusion.

    The TR bolt is what I have always seen.

    That’s a good one. Also how about the little screws that hold the positive battery cable tray to the block!

    ..................................... but we are not done with this thread.

    Doesn't anyone care what the 71-72 alt bolts looked like? They were changed for 71.

    This? I have more of these. They also used this single bolt at the top of some differentials,like the 12-bolt Chevy,to hold the brake hose bracket on.     I have a bunch of those TR bolts above.

    I was able to find what has been deemed as two different but correct (thanks to this thread) bolts.
