Hey guys, I'm new to the threads but I wont be by the end of this week (taking apart interior + running new wiring).

I took off my carpet to find no rust (thank god) but old sound deadening material that was flaking apart. I thought about going with dynamat or just new sound deadening material but I am trying to cut costs so I can spend more on important mechanical, electrical and paint repairs (metallic green is hard to take care of).

I thought about spraying 2 layers of rubberized bed liner on the underbody and wheel wells for road noise and 3 layers for the interior and headliner for sound, insulation and moisture proofing. Then finishing it off with some peel n seal over the thin parts of the floor pan and transmission to completely deaden road noise.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Dig around on Ebay, you can find knock-off Dynamat type material for about a tenth of the cost of the name brand stuff. I got a 50sq.ft. roll for $50 and used it extensively in my Charger when I re-did the interior. I don't know how it compares with the name brand stuff, but the price can't be beat.

There is a big post here somewhere, ill go find it.

But after looking at them all I went with SmittyMats.com
    They are on ebay too.

Have been impressed with it. I got no headliner and it been stuck to the roof like glue in deadly hot n cold weather.

look into that heating and air stuff at the big box stores. i hear it does a good
job at heat and sound. i think it is made by frost king or something like that.

You can do the same in the roofing section to find the heavy tar based stuff like dynamat.

Not a fan of the heavy tar based ones, they can work better but only cause its so dense/heavier per sq/in. I don't need any extra weight in my pig ;)

I just bought two rolls of the RAAMat material. I will post pics and info about my install in the next week or so.
