I'm convinced this is all your doing with that crowing about the weather in the Carolinas... Some of us would like to have a few nice days to work on our Buicks! Would you pleeeeease stop!
It was kind of hot here yesterday and I had to run the AC for a while. But Lord what a storm came through this morning and there is a howling wind out there. I bet it is down into the 50s now. What is that white powder in your pic? Is that new?
eewww.. that looks like winter.. I suppose I should not mention it was 60* here Last Sunday, even in "snowman land".. as Jim refers to where I live. But it was in the teens this morning again.. but no snow.. At least no yet.. Hang in there Ken, won't be long for us folks up north now. JW
It was in the lower 70s here Sunday. We had nasty winds though. Clear and sunny so far. Back to 68 by Saturday!!!!
Yes, the "white powder" is falling from the sky as we speak. Supposed to be 13 tonight with 30 mph winds. Sounds perfect for working on a car.... :af:
Now I'm really depressed! The weather is actually worse here than Minnesota!!!!! Just kidding Jim...
I know what you mean,Ken. I have to work on a car tonight and I'm not looking forward to doing it. Oh well,ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Just think,it's almost Spring.
You know, I was just saying yesterday that it smelled like spring outside and whammo!....another blizzard! I should have kept my mouth shut Jason
Outside in shorts and T-shirt yesterday working on my buicks. Today 26* and wind driven snow so hard traffic moving 30 mph on the expressway o No: Fortunately the groud was warm, so no accumulation, but weatherman says this same storm is droping up to a foot of snow on the new york to boston area... YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEUUUUCK!
I'm getting VERY restless!! Sunday, I started bringing home pieces of a '65 GS 'vert I just bought.... Monday I work 11 hours in 60 degree weather.... Today, I start out the work day dragging 250 lb air conditioner units thu 5 inches of mud IN THE RAIN, then end the day trying to braze refridge lines in 20 degree temps, 30 MPH wind driven snow, and a wind chill near zero! ENOUGH!!!!! :af: :af: I think I'm going to move to Key West and get a dishwashing job! .....Any thing has got to be better than this!
Just got back from CANCUN I couldn't wait to get home (MINNESOTA) and some cool weather. after a week in cancun and all the sun and sand. It did rain twice for a short while but i didnt really notice while standing in the pool with a cervesa and tequilla. Ish,it sounds like im bragging, im not ,but i dont have to go there again. But I do have to run to the bathroom again, and again. and again :ball:  :moonu:
Yesterday it was nice and warm in the afternoon. 24hrs later its windy and snowing. I am happy the Coronet is underground. Mother nature is bipolar
I hate to tell you NE guys but it looks like snow again for you a couple more times by Sunday. Our temps are going to be around 50 this weekend so I am skipping a car show here at the beach. Just to give you an idea of the frontal wind we had today at a local small airport the AWOS broke at 62 Knots which is about (70 mph). At Kill Devil Hills on the NC coast the gusts were up to 110 mph.
So, in short, you're saying the weather blows where you are???? :moonu:  I did get out of work early to get the kids and I did spend that found time in the garage sand blasting parts for my car, so I won't complain too much. I just want to roll the damn frame out from under the body and would like to not do that when there's snow on the driveway and it's freezing cold out. And just to translate for Mr Lore, "freezing cold" does not mean temps in the 50's. It means below 32 deg fahrenheit.
Ken The avionics hanger at out local airport is huge and is owned by some friends. One of the tech's there just bought a 70-72 Skylark and happened to pull it in to try to avoid the storm. The wind which they described as a small tornado blew one of the roll up doors in and it laid right on top of the skylark. When the storms passed they had to get the forklift to lift it off the car which hardly had a scratch. If that was a modern car they would have found a pancake.
