After finding myself unable to start my '69 GS 400 after installing a Pertronix kit and coil (http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=157193), I managed to sneak away to the garage tonight and, after pulling the tach wire and swapping back in the original coil, IT'S RUNNING! When I touch the tach wire to the negative post of the coil, it cuts out immediately, which suggests to me that I've screwed up that wiring somewhere, but hey, I'm back on the road. Now to address the loose headlight socket, the rear taillight that doesn't work (found a beer cap fixit in there), and so on and so forth. Fortunately, Maryland doesn't require an inspection to get a plate for a historical vehicle, so it's driving time!:3gears:

Thanks for all of the help and suggestions from the board-

    John
