    Sorry we missed each other.

It was a great show and the weather was fabulous.

Sunburned on Friday - sunblocked on Saturday.

It must have been 75 on Saturday.

Got to visit with some great Buick and other folks.

Biggest crowd I've seen there yet.

    What did you buy? Pictures?

    Hey All

Just a reminder about this show. Thought I would bring it to the top again.

Ran into a local member of the BCA in Portland last night at a cruise-in. He said they are planning to have a large group of Buicks caravan up Saturday morning.

This thing sounds like it is going to be bigger than ever.

Hope there are lots of parking spaces there in little ol' Puyallup.

Also emailed a Buick guy up in BC he said a bunch are coming down from there.

    Sounds great. Can't wait.

Going to BC in early June (4-7) just to get out of town with the wife. Taking the other hot rod - '02 Turbo Volvo (black & fast with some European class). Can only look at flowers and scenery so long. Anything happening in the Delta or on the Island that would interest a car guy?

    June 19 Puyallup Show

A group of us caravan to Puyallup from north of Seattle every year.

Any of you British Columbia or Woodinville/Redmond/Kirkland/Bellevue Buick guys are welcome to join with us. Here's our schedule:

7:15 AM -- Leave King Charlie's Drive-In restaurant in Snohomish.
(To find King Charlie's, travel south on Interstate 5 to Highway 2 exit to Snohomish/Wenatchee. Drive Highway 2 east to second Snohomish exit -- Highway 9. Drive south on Highway 9 a few hundred feet, King Charlie's on the left. My cell phone number that morning: 425 879-9969.)

7:30 AM -- Leave espresso stand in Woodinville, west side of Highway 9, just north of interchange with Highway 522. We'll head toward Bothell on 522, then jump onto Interstate 405 heading south.

8:00 AM -- Donuts provided! We'll pick up additional Buicks and drivers at the Park and Ride lot on the west side of Interstate 405, exit #12 -- just south of downtown Bellevue and near the big Greenbaum's home furnishings store, which is readily visible from the freeway.

From there, we'll head south to Renton, jump onto Highway 167 and cruise to Puyallup.

Generally, we have everything traveling with us from GS's and Rivieras to 1938 Specials. The show is fantastic, but the chance to cruise in a long string of old Buicks makes it even better! We've got one guy joining us from Montana for the drive down.

On another subject, it's my club putting on the Arlington show just off Interstate 5 at Smokey Point. Hope to see many of you there on June 5. If you're like me, you'll never miss an opportunity to meet up with a large group of other Buick enthusiasts.

    Brian,

Can you give us more details on your show on June 5?

How many cars you expecting, or there different classes (if so, what are they), etc.?

I will also copy your post and put it on the Turbo Board, I know some of my turbo buddies from up north are going to Puyallup.

Smokey Point Buick Show, June 5

Chris, this will be the second year for this event. Last year, approximately 60 Buicks were on hand, but a stronger turn out is anticipated this year.

There are no classes and no judging. This is strictly a fun show at this point, but there is the possibility that classes and awards will be considered for future years. Hot dogs and t-shirts are available, and vintage Buicks are also displayed in the showroom.

No fee for registration, which begins at 10:00 AM. The show itself runs from noon to 4:00 PM.

Call 425-348-7443 (Don Haase) with questions.

One idea is for those who are interested to cruise up to Burger King (south of Arlington off of Highway 9) for the regular Saturday night cruise-in after the show.

By the way, our chapter (North Cascade Chapter) intends to begin working with other Northwest BCA chapters this year to prepare a bid for a future Buick National Meet in the Seattle area. Sound interesting?

My wife and I are staying at the Hilton in Bellevue Friday and Saturday nights. So, I will meet all of you at 8:00 at the Park and Ride lot Saturdat morning. I was also planning to go down to Arlington but my dear wife made plans for a family get together on the 5th. I would love to have come down for that, but.... She is coming on the 19th so at least she can't plan something else for me to do then!! (JUst kidding, I love her dearly)
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing some familiar faces from last year like Ken B. and Rod A.
    Cheers
    Harvey

There was a Buick club in BC which I joined but it folded recently because of lack of interest or more correctly lack of members. I would love to hook up with a club in Washington. Which one is the furthest north??
    Thanks

In your post you said you wanted to go to a cruise-in. Consider coming to Vancouver on Wednesday nights. We have 2 that are going to get big shortly.

One is at the PIR racetrack just over the bridge in Oregon. The other is at Pearson Air Park just East of I5 before the bridge.

If it doesn't rain this Wednesday, I will probably go to the race track.

Both start early, but I usually try to get there by 5:30 to 6. Hang out for a couple of hours then head for home.

Let me know if you want to hook up. Sometimes my wife even goes, so let me know if yours is coming and I will try to bring mine.

    Dukec
