I might not have internet access again until next Sunday, so while I could, I hopped on at the hotel.

San Diego is beautiful. Weather is nice.

    LEGOLAND is pretty kewl.:bglasses:

Hey Alan, I don't suppose you've posted me "Pulling a Yardley" yet? Or are you saving that for the video?:moonu:

Still smiling from my races in Salem!

Careful out there! You may run into the last owner of my convertible. Give him a slap in the head if you see him.

And now for the obligatory posting of the "Yardley" picture:Do No:

Consider stopping by Skip's place to say hello if you have time. San Marcos isn't too far away.

Man, those pics are just too funny. Looks like I took a leak on the front of my car in that one.

The zoo was great. They actually let me in to the goat petting zoo all alone...

    Too baaaaaaaaaad.

Wish I had time to plan a trip to see skip. Would've been nice. But we're booked. I'm happy I was able to get on the one free Internet PC here. Should be someone by in a minute to want to use it next. Should've brought the laptop, but didn't want to hassle with carrying it through the airports and all.

one of my favorite business trips.

Love Old Town, Little Italy, Gas Lamp District and Sunday brunch at the Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island.

Jeff - Have fun out there!! TONS to do.:bglasses: :beer

If you want a really GREAT view of San Diego (from Del Mar & down), head up to the top of Soledad Mt. Rd. There is an INCREDIBLE look out area up top there!! You can see LaJolla & Del Mar to the north, the beach area for miles, the mountains to the east, & the city to the south.

    Map

Look for the Easter Cross...just west of the 52.

We went to the old lighthouse which overlooks EVERYTHING. Awesome view.

Just got back from the beach at La Jolla. My kids have never been in the ocean, just Long Island Sound, so the waves were new to them. My 2 oldest loved it. hell, I loved it.

So far a great vacation. Yeah, Old Town was very kewl.

    Off to Coronado Island now.

    c-ya all on Sunday!

Hi Pete. La Jolla is absolutely fabulous. I doubt I'd ever be able to afford to live in the San Diego area, but GOD! is it ever beautiful!

I was at the beach that is right near where all the seals beach themselves. There is a concrete walkway that creates a cove for them. Too kewl.

The beach itself was a tiny cove, only about 200 yards wide and accessed via stairs that lead right to the sand. The waves were breaking one after another about 200 yards off shore and rolling in. One lifeguard kept surfing there, and once he almost ran over a seal that was bobbing out there. Just too beautiful for words.

Coronado Beach was awesome too. My 7 year old son was body surfing! His first day at the beach and already he's body surfing! He didn't want to leave (the beach or San Diego, for that matter!).

We did the zoo, Sea World, LEGOLAND (2X), old town, Lomas Point, Hotel del Coronado and the beaches. Watched the sun set over Encinitas one night.

Almost as good a vacation as the BPG Nationals!

thats really cool. im glad you enjoyed it. rent definatly isnt cheap here. but its well worth it to me. im paying just under 1500 for a two room 890 sq ft apartment. i live next door to the morman temple. its the castle looking building just off the 5 freeway in la jolla.

Very impressive building, especially when lit up at night.

I was minutes from you for a week!

My mortgage for my 2500 sq ft house and 3/4 acre is less than your rent.

But then, I also have to live near Philadelphia.:error:
