When replacing my rear Bumper, I found this strange air vave in the chassis.
What a hell is it for ? Any thing to do with suspension ? I also noticed that anytime I load 2 or 3 people on the back seat, I touch the asphaltat at any uneven area. Also saw that one very thin air pipe (A couple of millimeters)going on the side of the bumper was cut. Are all these things linked together ?

That looks like a valve for air shocks. The tube which you are refering to runs from the valve to the shocks. They are used to assist with the ride when carrying/towing heavy loads.

Any idea of where I could get air hoses replacement, not being an industrial roll of 1 mile...

Well, the local parts places carry replacement air hose sets for these.. I don't know if you can get them without shipping them though. You may want to just buy a new set of air shocks...if you want them. I paid like $55 for my last set.

How long did it take you to replace the shocks ? any special tool required ?

If not too hard to do, I will follow your idea of changing the shocks. They look more than tired.

They're fairly easy to change. Just a 1/2" ratchet and a 1/2" wrench...and some safety goggles for falling rust and dirt particles...broken knuckles and about an hour of your time...

Also the bolts at the bottom...3/4"?

if you put some air to that valve, a seductive and willing looking inflatable doll will inflate in the rear seat (buick thought of everything for the traveling man) .....
make sure and deflate her before driving is resumed or she will start griping for you to stop and ask for directions. :puzzled:

    You may try www.Rockauto.com
Don't know if they can ship to you, but you can at least look up what it is you need.
They were nice when I dealt with them for a couple items for my car.

    Chris,
They have the Monroe Max Air 751 that I want, but they don't ship this item to France. Strange as I have often ordered items from them. They just replied that their parts are directly shipped from their suppliers, and some of them don't ship outside the US, and that I should find a friend where to ship in the US who would then forward to France... Nice customer service....

    Thanks Per.

I'll try as I go to Brussels for business once a week, but I am afraid this is heir european headquarters, and they won't sell anything.

Two Monroe resselers I contacted said they have a specific range of prods for Europe, ad they have no access to US catalogs.

I may have some more news from your above contacts.
