Personally, I gotta agree. I don't care for the grey with the gold.

I like the look of the Halibrands on the car too.The convo wheels look way better if they are 15x15 and stuffer up under the car..I think the Halibrands would look good on my car too...lol

Well, I got 275 60 15 mickey drag radials on a 15 by 6 wheel. thought I had 15 by 7. oh well, found out when balancing, lol.
I have Pro Star Welds 15 by 8 4.5 back space I will take off Velle street tires and use now.
Velle fits 15 by 10 w the massage job car has had since the 70's, and modded by me for more clearance on back space in 90's.

I'm thinking of running the same setup on my Skylark. What tires do you have?

Tires are Nitto 555s. Rears are 295/45/18. Fronts 255/45/18

Those are pretty wide and taller than stock. Did you have any fit issues or have to make any adjustments?

My brother's blue car has 18x8, 18x9 with 245s in front and 275s in back. Mine has 18x9.5 w/275 in front and 18x11 w/295 in back, wish I had some photos of them with body attached! IMG_20150120_115829.jpg IMG_20150530_184826.jpg IMG_20150530_184810.jpg

    What wheels are on yours?

Anyone on here good with photoshop? I'd love to see what a set of centerline Lazers would look like on a skylark.

The blue one I'm not sure, look like Torque thrust II or similar. Mine has XXR 531 wheels, the black ones...

I just rdered 18x8 front and 18x9 rear foose legend wheels. The tires are 255/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear. Im sure the rear will be fine. Will i have any fitment issues up front?

The fronts that size might barely fit with no rubbing. I had 18x8 with 255/45/18 tires and they rubbed on the back on the inner wheel well, and also some on one of the wheel well bolts. It was worse with a passenger in the car. I ended up going with the same size tire with a 17" rim and no issues.

Does anybody have pictures of 17" Cragar D windows or soft 8s on their car?
I haven't money for the 17s I like, but was advised to seriously consider ditching my 14"&15" sets and buying a cheap set of 17" until I could afford more.

I started a thread, but I'm thinking I droned on too long or something and most people don't want to bother with it.
What is the widest 17" that will fit without rubbing anywhere?

Go to American Racings Home Page and they have a link (HERE IT IS)

    http://my.americanracing.com/browse-wheels.cfm

It will show you what the wheels look like on the car...

Well, not exactly what I was looking for, but that's a cool site nonetheless.
Too bad they don't have 17" D windows for me to check out, only 15s. And no soft 8s to be seen..

I like salt flats, but I don't have $355-$365 per wheel right now.
That's why I'm thinking of 17" D windows or soft 8s at around $90/wheel... unless, of course, I decide my 15" rallys feel fine after upgrading my suspension..
