Installing aftermarket tach and gauges in my '66 skylark street/strip car. The only confusion I have is finding the ignition feed in my fuse block to tap the red wires into, as I do not see anything labeled as such. I appreciate any help or suggestions.

All you need is an ignition on fuse source. You can determine that with a test light or meter.

I'm not sure if a 66 fuse panel is similar or the same, but this is typical of a 70's fuse panel. Right in the middle is a tang labeled "IGN". You could tap into that if it is there. All the fuses on the right side are key on 12 volts, that is what you need.

No, they are different. The one in your picture is similar to my '72 GS, and weird enough, I can't seem to locate an IGN one on my '66. Unfortunately, the car is not currently in "start-up" condition, so the test light isn't applicable. However, you bring up a good point regarding the accessories that are key on, so maybe I'll just use one of those, seems logical enough to me. Thanks for the response.
