    Hi Everyone:

I bought this 72 GS 350 car on E-Bay back 2001. It was a basket case that was completely dissasembled. Well, after four years of writing checks and hunting for parts the car is finished. Here are a few details. Body:Full Frame off rotisserie restoration, powder coated frame, GSX Appearance Package with GM Saturn yellow Paint (loads of clear). Engine: 1972 455 bored .040, Stock cast iron heads ported and polished, Crane hydraulic cam, Federal Mogul Hypereutectic pistons (10.1 Compression) Edelbrock Performer intake, MSD HEI Ignition(recurved), Mighty Demon 850 Carb with Mechanical secondaries. TA Performance 1 7/8 ceramic coated Shorty headers, TA Performance 3" Mandrel bent Exhaust with Flowmaster series 40 mufflers. TH 350 transmission with Shift kit and B&M holeshot 2600 Stall. Stock disk brakes on the front and Drums in the rear, 10 bolt posi with 3.42 gears, Cragar SS 17x8 rims in the front and 17x9's in the back, Pirelli 225/45ZR17's in the front and 255/45ZR17's in the back. Interior has all been redone.

Here are a few Pictures (the car took 2nd place in it's class at the World of Wheels in Calgary two weeks ago)

Very nice! It is apparent that you put a lot of time and effort into that car.

thanks alot for the thumbs up, it means alot coming from fellow Buick nuts.

I bought the car from a guy in Eau Claire, Wisconson, he had completely ripped it apart with the intentions of redoing the car but gave up on it. If I knew then what i was getting into i would never have done it. Way to much money and way to much time. But watching people stop and stare and ask a million questions at the car show made it all worth while. Beleive it or not I have not even driven the car yet. It was finished two days before the World of Wheels so I trailered it directly from the Body shop to the show and then Home. Hopefully by May I should be able to hit the roads if the weather cooperates.(The snow usually is gone buy the end of April) Here are a couple of pictures of it when I first picked it up.

Nicely done Dwayne. Good to see another Buick in Alberta. There is only a couple up here in McMurray. Might be another one soon, if I can find a project. Did you buy the car sight unseen off E-bay? I would be a little nervous about getting ripped off.

You should try and make it down to Edmonton for Autorama (April 22/23/24)
The car will be in that show as well. If it was anything like Calgary the show is a real blast. One thing about these cars is that you can almost garuantee it will be the only one of it's kind there. Now that the car is complete I am going to show it off as much as possible while it is still brand new. As for buying on E-bay I saw a picture of it but that was about it.

I was wondering when Autorama was. Figures, I'm working that weekend. There was a Blue '71-72 GSX there for a number of years. Was a nice 350 car - may have been a clone though. I sold my '70 GS-455 rag top at their auction back in '98 or so.

Let me know if there are any shows around Calgary this spring or summer. My inlaws are in Cochrane, so we come down there once in a while.

Dwane, The car looks awesome. Good for you!! :TU: I'll keep an eye out for it. I grew up in that area. One couldn't find a nicer place to cruise out there, especially west up thru Bragg Creek and loop around thru the Kananaskis to Longview then home again. Glad to see you on the board. This is an incredible data base and the people who reside here are top notch! Sent you a PM.
