    Hi all

This is not a for sale posting. It is more of an information gathering question.

I have a few vintage automotive tools that I have stored for 30 plus years and never used. They had belonged to my father-in-law who was a GM mechanic since the 40's, so they are of that vintage.

I figure if I have not used them by now, I am not likely ever going to use them, so I am looking for suggestions of where to advertise them and what they might be worth.

    Sunnen valve spring compressor

Possibly a Lisle Piston ring groove cleaner

I was in the tool biz for 10 years. I can say that old mechanic's tools age like milk. They are not like old wood working tools that people collect, restore and display.

The adjustment tool is cool, its probably for a specific application that might make is worth a bit more.

The rest of the stuff, I'd guess somewhere between 20-50 for the lot.

There's a big following of Plomb tools.

Those are all $.99 starting bid with no reserve ebay items... Hey, you might be surprised.

I love my 100+ year old Starrett micrometers, dial indicators and such.
My favorite, though, are my Lufkin inside micrometers. An orthopedic surgeon couldn't hold a finer more balanced tool.
