we picked up a TA Performance C110 cam, and also got the roller timing chain that allows you to advance/retard the cam timing by 4*. Do you think it's a good idea to advance it 4*, because i thought most cams already have 4*advance ground into them?
you should do what the cam card says, it should tell you were to set it and what the advance will be, that is were it is desighend to run the best, advancing a cam will give you a little more high rpm h/p but will lower your low end torque. retarding a cam does just the opposite. i would call and talk to Dave or Tom at TA if you have problems
Word of Caution: never assume the timing marks to be accurate!! Between maching tolerances in the gears and the cam...you could be WAY off!! Only way to be certain you're where you need to be - Degree the cam.:TU:
