What is the best way to totally lock-out the centrifugal advance in an HEI distributor for racing.
I need the centrifugal advance to be fully in at idle with TA's radical overlap 308S cam.
(An MSD with a 20 degree retard module will be used for starting.)

Extend the weights out to their farthest position. Then braze the advance plate to the rotor mounting.

That makes sense, this way the spark from the pickup up coil will be in the optimum phase for the best to rotor/ cap alignment ala full throttle blast position.

    Thanks
